 Amacar Trapani is centrally located and convenient to get to any point in the city. The railway station is only 300 metres from the car park and the port is about 800 metres away. The historic centre is nearby and easily accessible on foot: the cathedral is just over 1km from the car park, as is the famous Piazza Mercato del Pesce. Right in the centre you can visit the entertaining MOOI - Museum Of Optical Illusions, the Typographiae Museum of Printing and the Tower of Ligny, with its beautiful 360-degree view of the sea and the city.

From the port of Trapani, it is possible to embark for various destinations, thanks to the frequent maritime connections with the Egadi islands (Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo), Pantelleria and the town of Toulon in France. The companies operating the routes are Siremar, Liberty Lines and Corsica Ferries. There are also several connections with North African countries, particularly Tunisia.

A few more details about the ferry connections:
  • You can take your own vehicle on the ferries (not hydrofoils); however, usually from July to October it is forbidden for non-resident motor vehicles to circulate in the Egadi Islands;
  • Trapani - Favignana: crossings of 30 min. or 1 hour depending on the operator chosen;
  • Trapani - Levanzo: crossings of 25 or 45 min. depending on the operator chosen;
  • Trapani - Marettimo: crossings of 1 or 3 hours, depending on the operator chosen;
  • Trapani - Pantelleria: crossings of 2 or 6 hours, depending on the operator chosen;
  • Trapani - Toulon: one crossing per week of approximately 21 hours.
